Product Description:

When we first started our journey into specialty coffee, Kenya was an origin that truly stood out. It was the first time we ever experienced the vibrant, unique notes of grapefruit in a coffee—a moment that transformed our approach to roasting and our appreciation of coffee's potential. Given its important role in our heritage, we are especially proud to offer a Kenyan coffee that we hope will provide you with a similarly memorable experience.

Sourced from the lush highlands of the Ibonia Estate in Kiambu, this coffee represents the heart of Kenya's renowned coffee terroir. With volcanic soils, abundant rainfall, and cool highland temperatures, Ibonia Estate coffee delivers a cup profile that is both complex and refreshing. This microlot showcases a sparkling acidity, syrupy sweetness, and delicate flavors of panela, sugar cane juice, and cooked stone fruit.

The Ibonia Estate goes beyond exceptional coffee quality; nearly 60% of the estate’s land is protected as wild forest, supporting local wildlife like deer, hawks, and owls. This blend of conservation and cultivation adds depth to each bean, which is meticulously processed through traditional float tanks, double-washed, and dried on raised beds to lock in its vibrant flavors.

Enjoy this small-batch microlot as a pour-over or French press to experience Kenya's legendary coffee heritage in every sip. We hope it takes you back to the first time we tasted Kenya—a journey we’re excited to share with you.
